Some people pass through our lives quietly. Others leave behind an unmistakable presence – a warmth, a story, a laugh or a way of looking at the world that remains with us long after they have gone.
Chris Clements, known to many as Kit Andrews, was one of those people.
To attempt to sum up a life in a few paragraphs is never easy. A person is so much more than a collection of dates and achievements. They are found in the memories they created, the friendships they nurtured and the countless small moments in which they made somebody’s day a little brighter.
Chris will be remembered not simply for what he did, but for who he was. His character, humour and individuality made a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. Whether people knew him as Chris or as Kit, they knew someone entirely himself – someone whose presence could not easily be forgotten.
There are people who possess a rare ability to bring others together. Through conversation, shared interests, laughter or simple kindness, they create connections that endure. Chris was part of many stories, and every person who knew him carries a different chapter: a favourite memory, an unforgettable remark, a moment of generosity or an occasion when his companionship meant more than he may ever have realised.
Those memories now feel especially precious.
Grief reminds us how deeply a person was loved. It appears in the sudden silences, in the familiar places that no longer feel quite the same and in the instinct to share something with someone who is no longer there to hear it. Yet alongside that sadness is gratitude – gratitude that Chris was here, that his life crossed ours and that he gave us memories worth holding close.

A true tribute is not found only in words. It lives in the stories we continue to tell, the photographs that make us smile and the lessons and kindnesses we carry forward. Every time Chris is remembered with affection, every time his name prompts laughter or a treasured story is shared again, something of him remains among us.
So today, we remember Chris Clements – Kit Andrews – with love, fondness and enormous gratitude.
Thank you, Chris, for the memories, the laughter and the difference you made simply by being yourself. You may no longer walk beside us, but your influence remains in the lives you touched and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing you.
You will be deeply missed, warmly remembered and never forgotten.
